Data Deletion
This page explains how to remove a connected social media account, how to revoke our access on the platform's side, and how to ask us to delete the data we hold about you.
AKS Media is operated by DENTOUR LTD. Company number: 14253560.
Registered office: 275 New North Road, Islington Suite 1006, London, United Kingdom, N1 7AA
1. Disconnect the account from AKS Media
If you connected an account through our publishing tools, ask the AKS Media operator who set up the connection, or write to contact@aks-digital.com from an address associated with the account, and we will remove the connection. Removing the connection deletes the stored access and refresh tokens; no further actions can be performed on the account.
2. Revoke the authorisation on the platform
You can also cut the connection from the platform's side at any time. Revoking there invalidates our tokens immediately, regardless of what we do:
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, open Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services (labels may differ by version) and remove AKS Media.
- YouTube / Google: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove access for AKS Media.
- Instagram / Facebook: in Settings → Apps and websites (or Accounts Center → Apps and websites), remove AKS Media.
- Other platforms: look for “Connected apps”, “Authorised apps” or “App permissions” in the platform's security settings.
3. Ask us to delete your data
To have your personal data deleted, email contact@aks-digital.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us which platform and which account (username or profile link) the request concerns, so that we can find the right records. We may ask you to confirm the request from an address or account we can associate with the data, to make sure we are not deleting someone else's data on your behalf.
We will confirm receipt, carry out the deletion, and tell you when it is done.
4. What we delete, and what we may keep for a limited time
On a deletion request we delete the account's platform identifier, display name, avatar, tokens, granted permissions and publishing metadata from our systems. Some records may be retained for a limited period after that:
- security and audit logs (for example the record that a connection existed and that it was removed), which we need to investigate misuse and to demonstrate compliance;
- records we must keep to meet a legal obligation, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- copies in encrypted backups until those backups are rotated out.
These retained records are not used for any other purpose. Content that was already published on a platform stays on that platform under its own rules; delete it there if you want it removed.
